Dr Jayson Jeganathan is a consultant psychiatrist who sees adults aged 18 to 65. He holds fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
Working Experience
Dr Jeganathan has a wide range of experience spanning inpatient and outpatient work in clinical psychiatry. Dr Jeganathan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (University of Sydney) with first class Honours. He undertook specialist psychiatry training in Sydney, Newcastle, and Dubbo to broaden his clinical expertise, working in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, consultation-liaison, and rehabilitation psychiatry. He has worked in diverse settings including Concord, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Royal Prince Alfred, John Hunter, Morisset, and Dubbo Base Hospitals, as well outpatient clinics in the Greater Hunter region and Newcastle. He has been actively involved in psychiatric research to better the lives of people with mental illness. This work led to conferral of the RANZCP Early Career Psychiatrist Award in 2023. Dr Jeganathan brings a warm, empathetic, patient-centric approach to his clinical practice, engaging his clients to develop tailored plans for their mental health and well-being.
