Dr Ione Lewis Social Worker

I am an accredited mental health social worker and psychotherapist with over 30 years' experience in working with individuals, families and groups. I provide brief and long term evidence-based therapy to help people understand relational patterns and create positive change in their lives. I am trained in relational psychotherapy, which I integrate with active strategies to help people regulate their trauma symptoms. I tailor the therapy models I use to suit each person I work with. I work with respect for people, their strengths and coping abilities. I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which is an evidence-based method for relieving trauma and psychological distress.
