Overview

Giselle is Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience and professional training in helping people to overcome a wide range of problems, including depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, over-eating, and chronic illness. She has a particular interest in helping people manage Chronic Pain, Sleep Disorders and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Giselle has a compassionate and non-judgmental counselling style. She listens carefully to understand the person behind the problems they face, and tailors her treatment to the needs of each client. Her treatment approach draws on a range of evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing for trauma (EMDR), and Inter-personal Therapy (IPT). When appropriate she can offer clinical hypnosis to assist with treatment efficacy.
