Debra is a clinical psychologist with a wealth of experience, supporting people to live well for over a decade. She offers the support you need to move forward with issues including stress relating to work, home and finances, feelings of worry, self-doubt, disconnection or hopelessness, trouble sleeping, grief and loss, past or recent trauma, and living with persistent physical pain. Debra works by considering all aspects of a person’s experience in supporting their health and well-being.
As well as providing caring and effective evidence-based treatments tailored to the individual, Debra brings warm-heartedness and humour into the therapy room. She draws on a range of psychological modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Debra also has a particular interest in mindfulness-based approaches, having completed her doctoral research on mindfulness at the Australian National University. Debra has extensive experience incorporating mindfulness practices into individual therapy as well as facilitating mindfulness groups.
Debra holds unconditional registration and an area of practice endorsement as a clinical psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is also a board-approved supervisor for provisional psychologists and registered psychologists undertaking the registrar program toward clinical endorsement. Debra is a recognised Medicare provider and a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
