Dan is a psychologist with a particular interest in assessment of Autism and ADHD, and treatment of anxiety, trauma, and attachment disturbance, but he has experience working with a wide range of difficulties. Dan has practiced in primary mental health care, university clinic, specialist anxiety clinic, and inpatient private hospital settings. Dan is a strong believer in the value of evidence-based practice and is familiar with a number of well-validated therapies (e.g. cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, attachment-focused work). However, ultimately his clinical philosophy is “do what works”. He will work with you as you determine what will be effective in your pursuit of a more rich, full, and meaningful life. Dan recognises that mental illness is common and firmly believes there is always hope for positive change.
