An Osteopath takes a full-body view and spends time looking for local and distal factors that might be contributing to your problem. Diagnosis and treatment is based on detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology combined with an appreciation of the individual and his/her unique situation, the osteopath’s ability to feel the body tissues and the sensitive application of manual therapy. The aim of treatment is to facilitate a beneficial change within the body - joints, muscles, ligaments, fascia, nerves and fluids. The body, which is in a continual state of inner motion, makes the change and the osteopath induces and guides the process.
