Dr Annabel Chan is a registered Clinical & Forensic Psychologist endorsed by the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Psychology Society, (APS). She is also the National Secretary of the Asia Pacific Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (APATAP) and Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Law (ANZAPPL).
Annabel has over 13 years of clinical and leadership experience in various mental health settings including youth and adult prisons, hospitals, community, universities, and private practice in Singapore and Australia. Currently, she maintains a private practice and is also a Senior Clinical Psychologist with the Children’s Court Clinic of Victoria and Approved Private Practitioner for Youth Justice providing specialised risk assessments of high-risk families and youth offenders.
Therapeutically, Annabel works with children, adolescents, couples, families, and clients with forensic needs, and has special interests in:

- Family violence and child protection matters
- Separated families and custody issues
- Grief, loss, and attachment trauma

Diversity- aware and friendly, Annabel works with clients with all gender and sexual identities, poly couples and families, and clients from alternative occupations such as sex industry workers.
The presence of the internet has added to the complexity of relationships, and many people feel lost or disempowered in a world that never logs off. Being a proud geek and internet optimist, Annabel is a skilled navigator of cyber-culture and online social behaviour and enjoys helping her clients to get the most out of communication technology and recognise its dangers.
