He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, He has a Certificate of Advanced Training in Adult Psychiatry from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, where he is a Fellow.
Dr Hui has extensive experience across various generalist and subspecialty psychiatric services across Melbourne, including Austin Health, Monash Health, Melbourne Health and Orygen Youth Health, reflected in his broad areas of focus.
Dr Hui also has extensive experience working with culturally-, gender-, and neuro- diverse persons from age 12 to over 65.
Dr Hui is proud of his holistic clinical approach that seeks to understand how one's biology and life journey intersects with one's present circumstances, so that he can:
help one gain and develop their insight into their psychology,
tailor his expert recommendations of specific biological treatments (psychopharmacological or neuromodulatory) that are rooted in reliable, replicable scientific evidence, and
communicate and collaborate with others involved, be they medical (like GPs) or allied healthcare providers (like psychologists and dietitians), loved ones, or schools/employers.
Dr Hui aims to achieve long-term, complete psychiatric recovery that is sustainable with all his patients - even ones considered unattainable by others, so long as they're equally committed to this aim. To that end, patients can expect Dr Hui to be accessible in-between in-person or telehealth consultations for non-time sensitive matters, and that their GP won't be asked to implement a management plan before this aim is achieved.
