Overview

Amy is a warm, friendly and approachable clinical psychologist with a passion for assisting patients of all ages to improve their wellbeing through developing skills for life. Amy has experience providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of psychological and emotional problems, with a special interest in eating disorders, anxiety disorders, tic disorders and obsessive compulsive disorders. Amy has worked in a variety of clinical and research settings and has been invited to present on radio and at schools and community groups on a variety of mental health topics. She has received extensive training in the use of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and draws on strategies from other scientifically validated approaches to best suit the needs of each individual patient. Amy was awarded the APS Clinical College Student Prize recognising outstanding clinical and therapy skills and the ability to design and conduct clinically relevant research and was selected as a finalist for the Peter Beumont Young Investigator award for her research on cognition and eating disorders.
