Dr Amir Aarabi is a Melbourne-based consultant nephrologist providing compassionate, evidence-based care across the full spectrum of kidney disease. His clinical interests include resistant hypertension, recurrent kidney stone disease, acute and chronic kidney conditions, dialysis, and renal transplantation.
Dr Aarabi places a strong emphasis on clear communication and shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel informed, involved, and empowered throughout their care journey. Fluent in both English and Farsi, he offers culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.
He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) from Monash University and completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2015. He undertook advanced nephrology training at Royal North Shore, Prince of Wales, and St George Hospitals, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Dr Aarabi is currently a Staff Specialist at Western Health Network in Melbourne and a Consultant Nephrologist at Western Private Hospital , where he is involved in the management of complex inpatient and outpatient renal conditions.
He is the Founder and Director of Renovial Health, a kidney-focused medical service committed to holistic, patient-centred care. Alongside his clinical work, he remains actively involved in nephrology research, contributing to peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
