Overview

Alison Christie is a clinical psychologist and working in Deakin, ACT. Alison is a pragmatic and solution-focused therapist, however, warmth, compassion and humour are central to her approach and relationships with clients. Alison has a PhD in Clinical Psychology, having completed her clinical training at Australian National University. She is also trained Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR and also draws from other therapies such as Internal Family Systems, and DBT. Alison’s key areas of experience are in complex PTSD, anxiety disorders and emerging therapies, such as Ketamine Assisted Therapy and MDMA assisted therapy.
