Alison (Ali) is a trauma-informed somatic therapist. She has 10 years’ experience providing yoga therapy, mindfulness and somatic (or body-based) approaches to managing the effects of trauma, stress and anxiety disorders. She has a particular passion for working with women, helping them to establish a relationship with the natural rhythms of their bodies, and has years of experience working with pelvic pain, endometriosis, pcos and other menstrual health concerns. Ali has a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Sciences and is enrolled in the honours in Psychology program. She has a PhD in landscape ecology and is passionate about the relationship the natural world can play in somatic therapy and mental health.
Ali’s therapeutic approach is always trauma-informed ensuring the pace is gradual, compassionate and brings a sense of safety and empowerment to the client.
When not engaging in some form of somatic practice, Ali is an avid bushwalker, bird watcher and gardener.
