Overview

Dharani has over 20 years of clinical experience and has extensive experience in the following areas: • Neurological rehabilitation including post stroke, Parkinson Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions • Oncology rehabilitation including management of cancer-related fatigue and exercise for people with cancer • Management of arthritis, back and neck pain • Rehabilitation after surgery Dharani is available for clinic appointments at Integrated Specialist Centre in Blackburn as well as home-visit appointments. Dharani provides treatments tailored to each individual, reflecting their lifestyles and unique goals. Whilst ensuring a safe and effective recovery process to regain strength, mobility and confidence, she works with her patient’s health care team (GP, Specialist, other allied health) to ensure holistic care. Dharani has worked as a physiotherapist in hospital and community settings including Monash Health and Parkinson’s Disease Centre of Excellence at Kingston Centre, Victorian Rehabilitation Centre, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington London. Dharani has a Bachelor of Applied Science- Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney and a Master in Public Health from Monash University. She is committed to evidence-based practice and has published research in social isolation and oncology rehabilitation. Dharani is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Victorian Chair of the Cancer, Palliative Care and Lymphoedema group. She is also a guest lecturer at Monash University’s Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Doctorate of Physiotherapy courses.
