I combine empathy with clinical expertise to help guide my clients towards meaningful healing and growth. Clinical Psychology & Areas of Interest My practice is based on evidence-based treatments, utilising cognitive behavioural frameworks (including ACT and Schema approaches), trauma-focused methods, Interpersonal Psychotherapy approaches, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills. With additional training in EMDR and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), I help clients regulate their nervous systems and process traumatic experiences to reduce their impact. Many clients report increased personal peace, symptom relief, and a renewed sense of hope after engaging in evidence-based therapies, though experiences vary. Holistic Health Rehabilitation & Chronic Pain With a background in hospital rehabilitation and pain management, I understand the complexities of pain science and the mind-body connection. I create holistic, personalised rehabilitation and chronic pain management programs that help clients build self-efficacy, physical strength and independence, despite ongoing health challenges and pain. As a scientist-practitioner, I keep updated on the latest research and have contributed to publications on cancer care and the lived experiences of health consumers Positive Psychology & Motivation I am passionate about positive psychology, nurturing strengths, and helping clients align with what is most important to them. I encourage personal growth, resilience, and the pursuit of a satisfying, values-driven life. I also help my clients in overcoming motivational barriers and tackling procrastination. A Personalised Therapeutic Experience Clients working with me can expect innovative treatment plans tailored to their strengths, preferences and learning styles. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all; together, we create a therapeutic journey that feels supportive and empowering. Here is a summary of what therapy with me might include: Trauma Processing and Reconciliation: Using EMDR, Schema Therapy, and EFT (where appropriate) to help integrate difficult memories, drawing on clients’ personal resources and strengths. Mindfulness, EFT, and DBT Skills: Building emotional awareness and regulation, and supporting the release of challenging emotions. Interpersonal and Coping Skills: Enhancing communication, relationships, and effective coping strategies. Problem-Solving and Psych-education: Empowering with practical tools and insights into psychological concepts. Cognitive Restructuring and Behavioural Activation: Addressing unhelpful thought patterns and encouraging positive, mood-boosting activities. Graded Exposure: Supporting gradual, confident engagement with previously feared situations. Pain Reprocessing: Applying the latest pain science to reframe chronic pain and promote a sense of safety and relief. Self-Regulation and Distress Tolerance: Strengthening resilience and emotion-management skills to promote lasting change. I stand by the positive impact of evidence-based therapies and believe that choosing to pursue therapy is a powerful and courageous decision—one that can help guide individuals toward a life that suits them better.
