I have been an Occupational Therapist since 1997, graduating from the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
My career began in South Africa, where I worked across a variety of private practice and hospital settings, with a strong focus on paediatrics, medico legal work, and hand therapy. During this time, I also owned and operated my own paediatric private practice and later worked as the occupational therapist for a step down hospital facility in Pretoria.
I relocated to Australia in 2009 where I started my career in Australia in adult hospitals and community settings, gaining experience across the full lifespan. After this I spent seven years at Mater Children’s Hospital as the Clinical Lead of the home visiting team (Mater at Home) and for the past six years, I have been running my own paediatric private practice in Brisbane. I recently joined Coordikids as a flexible option to still make a difference in children's lives with the flexibility to be in any part of the world to serve children and families with difficulties during this new phase of my life.
