Overview

Welcome to Compass Of Life! I’m Maija (silent J), and I believe in creating a supportive, client-centered environment where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. My goal is to provide comprehensive support services—social work, psychoeducation, and counseling—tailored to your unique needs. Whether you prefer face-to-face sessions at home, in the community, at our clinic, or through tele-health, I’m here to support you. My approach is grounded in various therapeutic methods, including systems theory, cognitive-behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and anti-oppressive practice. I want to ensure that YOU are always at the heart of our work. I welcome private paying clients, Workcover, NDIS participants, and individuals with aged care packages, serving all ages from youth to the elderly. At Compass Of Life, I offer a range of services to guide you through life's challenges, including: - Decluttering & Hoarding Solutions - End-of-Life & Advance Care Planning - Carer Stress & Support - Advocacy & Personal Life Guidance - NDIS Services - Social Connection Support I am dedicated to helping you find clarity, peace, and support every step of the way. My passion for social work is deeply rooted in my personal experiences. Having navigated my own mental health challenges, I know how isolating it can feel. This ignited my desire to help others who face similar struggles. Additionally, witnessing discrimination faced by friends and loved ones opened my eyes to the systemic injustices many endure. I am committed to advocating for marginalised individuals and ensuring they feel valued and supported. For me, social work is about more than just providing assistance; it’s about understanding the relationship between individual experiences and broader social forces. I believe in fostering trust, building meaningful relationships, and empowering you to overcome obstacles. Every person has a unique story, and I believe everyone deserves the chance to live with dignity and respect. Together, we can create meaningful change and pave the way for a more just and equitable society. Let’s walk this path together at Compass Of Life, where you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Contact me to learn how I can assist you on your journey.
