Ling is a Clinical Psychologist with 30 years’ experience across public and private mental health services, hospital programs, university teaching, and supervision of clinical psychologists. She offers brief, evidence-based therapy that is individually tailored to help clients gain clarity, and expertise in the care of their own mental wellbeing.
Ling has particular interest in supporting clients experiencing depression, anxiety and stress in the context of: adjustment to major life changes; coping with the effects of experiencing; traumatic events; navigating difficult decisions; living with or caring for someone with a mental health condition
Her approach is well-suited to individuals who prefer a brief period of therapy, and value active participation, personal growth, and the development of self-help skills that they can continue using long after therapy ends.
Drawing on extensive experience in evidence based treatment approaches, eg. CBT, DBT, and EMDR, Ling provides a compassionate, culturally respectful, and collaborative approach that promotes insight, and restore a sense of meaning and direction. Her goal is to make therapy a focused and empowering process, equipping clients with the confidence and skills to become their own best therapist.
