Christina’s approach to therapy and client care focusses on tailoring treatment to the specific needs of the individual. She values the importance of treating the individual as a whole, rather than treating a psychological issue in isolation. She prioritises creating a safe space in therapy, and building self-awareness and self-efficacy with her clients in a collaborative way.
Christina works with adolescents and adults, and works with a variety of presentations including anxiety, stress, depression, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, perfectionism, grief/loss, anger, emotion regulation, self-esteem issues, and relationship issues. She also has experience and a particular interest in treating eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and other specified feeding or eating disorders. She advocates for healthy body image and a holistic approach to wellbeing.
Christina uses a range of evidence-based treatments, based on their appropriateness to the individual, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
