Chi is a psychologist with a unique approach. She is compassionate, empathetic, and warm. She values each individual’s unique experience and provides a space for people to explore their struggles and needs in ways that encourage change and growth, whilst offering a respectful and validating environment. She feels passionate about helping people to develop a greater capacity for resilience to help them flourish, as well as developing meaningful and positive relationships with themselves and others.
A parent herself, Chi offers a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Trauma Focused Therapy. Chi implements other therapeutic approaches including Parent Management Training (PMT), and Mindfulness-Based skills. She also draws upon elements of Interpersonal Psychology (IPT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Chi also has experience working with clients from a range of cultural backgrounds, providing therapy both to individuals, couples, families, and in group settings. Chi has a multidisciplinary background, also having worked in medical research and in corporate banking. she also uses an eclectic approach when suitable to help people achieve their goals.
She brings an eclectic, compassionate and caring approach, adopting a unique combined and complementary approach, using all her knowledge to provide the best treatments to reach each of her client’s individual needs. Chi has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, working with clients across the lifespan presenting a wide range of psychological issues.
She is passionate about Psychology and strongly believes that psychological health is as important as physical health and acknowledges that psychological injuries can impact our lives substantially and should not be ignored, as there are proven techniques, we can use to improve our wellbeing and relationships, leading to a happier life. Chi holds a Post Graduate Diploma and Graduate Diploma in Psychology, from Charles Sturt University and the University of New England, respectively. Chi also holds a Bachelor of Sci (Physiology), from the University of New South Wales. Chi is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She is also a Workcover accredited practitioner.
