With a rich academic and clinical foundation, Cindy holds a PhD in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology. She is also a Psychology Board-approved supervisor, dedicated to mentoring the next generation of practitioners. Central to Cindy’s practice is a client-centred, systemic approach. As a credentialed Multigenerational Family Therapist, she looks beyond individual behaviour to understand how broader family and relationship dynamics shape individual well-being. This systemic perspective is uniquely complemented by her expertise as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), which allows her to evaluate how immediate environmental factors impact an individual’s development. Committed to evidence-based, neuro-affirming care, Cindy has completed advanced P-ESDM training at the MIND Institute (University of California, Davis) and is an Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) certified therapist. By integrating family systems, behavioural science, and developmental frameworks, Cindy provides holistic, compassionate support adapted to the unique ecosystem of every individual and family she serves. Clinical Expertise & Multidisciplinary Collaboration With extensive professional experience across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, Cindy provides comprehensive assessments and individual supports for children, adolescents, and their families. She specialises in supporting individuals navigating autism and related developmental delays, learning and behavioural differences, anxiety, and depression. An established practitioner in the Hills District, Cindy brings deep cultural humility to her practice and is fluent in both English and Mandarin, ensuring accessible and respectful care for linguistically diverse families. Founded in her systemic philosophy, Cindy bridges the gap between clinical care and the everyday environments where young people live and learn. Her background within the educational system gives her a profound understanding of school contexts. She works closely with educators, school counsellors, and non-government organisations to deliver practical strategies that support the whole child. Her leadership in this space includes serving as the Senior Psychologist for the NSW Department of Education and Training’s state-wide Autism School Counsellor Training initiative, as well as directing a children’s service dedicated to the inclusion of children with neurodivergent profiles. Professional Advocacy Cindy is a passionate advocate for childhood neurodiversity, dedicated to shifting societal and systemic attitudes toward developmental and learning differences. Under her leadership, the clinic secured a NDIS Information, Linkages, and Capacity Building (ILC) grant to develop an innovative online Strength-Based Parenting program. A respected voice in the professional community, she frequently presents her insights at major conferences. Her recent presentations include sharing a neuro-affirming framework for families at the Association for Family and Systemic Psychotherapy (2024), examining clinicians' perceptions of family therapy in autism contexts at the Asian Academy of Family Therapy Conference (2025), and contributing to the Asia Pacific Autism Conference (2025).
