Loretta Morgan is a registered Provisional Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), a Masters of Professional Psychology (MPP) and is currently completing her PhD in childhood trauma, trauma symptoms, trauma recovery, resilience, and wellbeing. Loretta provides comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.
Loretta’s practice is grounded in trauma-informed and neuro-affirming care, with a specialised focus on childhood trauma, and attachment-related trauma, domestic and family violence, including intimate partner violence and coercive control.
She works extensively with individuals experiencing the impacts of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD (CPTSD), trauma-related conditions, and personality-related presentations, including challenges with emotional regulation, identity, relationships, and self-concept.
Loretta also is also an approved provider under the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Self Refer Program.
She provides structured psychological assessments to clarify clinical presentation, support accurate diagnosis, and guide targeted, evidence-based treatment planning. Loretta’s approach is collaborative, client-centered, and tailored, recognising the complexity of trauma and honouring neurodiversity by adapting care to each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world, whilst focusing on trauma recovery, building resilience, and supporting thriving.
Her work integrates a range of evidence-based and complementary modalities, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Play Therapy, and Schema Therapy, alongside integrative approaches such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Matrix Re-Imprinting, and somatic and nervous system regulation strategies including qigong and yoga-informed practices.
