Meet Brett - Master of Professional Psychology who genuinely cares about his clients' wellbeing. He's got registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi). Brett has a wealth of knowledge in various therapeutic approaches and has worked in both clinical and non-clinical settings, leading teams and coordinating projects. Brett is a natural with people and a fantastic psychologist! He's all about creating a nurturing environment for his clients to thrive. Brett takes the time to understand each client's unique situation and creates a personalized plan to help them achieve their goals. He regularly checks in on his clients' progress and adjusts their plans as necessary to ensure they're getting the best care possible. Brett provides his patients with the tools and resources they need to be successful, nurturing their growth and supporting them throughout their journey. With experience in private practice, Brett has the necessary skills to treat a wide range of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and other mental health issues. He offers therapy for a variety of issues, such as post-traumatic stress, complex trauma, grief, self-esteem and interpersonal relationship issues, and adult ADHD. Brett is particularly interested in men's issues but assists all adults and older adolescents (16+). Не also loves helping people improve their performance in all aspects of life, whether that be sports, recreation, or work. Brett uses evidence-based psychology therapeutic approaches, primarily based on mindfulness intervention approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness. He's been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (СВТ), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and is currently training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and hypnosis to extend his methods. Brett's always on the lookout for ways to provide the highest quality of care to his clients through ongoing training, peer consultation, and researching evidence-based advances. Brett's available for appointments Monday to Friday, and even has some evening and early morning slots available.
