I am a Senior Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Counsellor with a holistic approach on mental health and a focus on the mind-body connection.
My therapeutic approach can be described as down-to-earth, engaging, and purposeful where I adapt my style and techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual.
I am dedicated to supporting individual’s by helping to shift unhelpful thought patterns and blocked feelings, process trauma, increasing awareness of the body and mind and how they connect, regulate feeling, creating goals and working towards a happier, more fulfilled life.
I draw from various solution-focused practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Somatic Psychotherapy, Art Therapy and Mindfulness training.
I offer a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can openly discuss the challenges they face and I empower them to make positive changes in their lives, ultimately improving their overall mental and physical well-being.
When I’m not in the office - I’m somewhere outdoors, often camping, hiking, surfing, or skating. I love hanging out with friends, my partner and our dog Leo.
I think I have a pretty good sense of humour and love a chat.
