Carolyn is an experienced clinician who provides evidence-based, client-centred psychological care within a family-oriented private practice environment. She integrates contemporary therapeutic approaches with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic alliance, creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative space to support meaningful clinical outcomes.
Her approach is grounded in responsiveness to each individual’s unique psychological needs, strengths, and lived experience. Carolyn works with adolescents, adults, and families across a broad range of mental health presentations, including anxiety disorders, trauma-related difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and school-based concerns.
She has particular clinical expertise in working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism spectrum disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and practises from a neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based framework.
Carolyn maintains a clinical focus on the enduring emotional impact of psychologically harmful and high-conflict relationship dynamics, supporting clients in areas including identity reconstruction, self-worth and boundary development following relational trauma.
She is a credentialed eating disorder clinician through the Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders and provides individualised treatment for eating and feeding concerns, including body image disturbance, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. Her work is informed by evidence-based approaches tailored to developmental stage, clinical presentation, and individual needs.
Her clinical work incorporates trauma-informed stabilisation and resourcing approaches where clinically appropriate and is underpinned by a commitment to inclusive, affirming, and respectful care for individuals across diverse backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.
She is an approved provider of non-directive pregnancy support counselling under Medicare and delivers services through the Medicare Chronic Condition Management (CCM) plan for clients with chronic or complex health needs, in line with current MBS guidelines.
