Brianna McLean (She/her)Psychologist

clinic location

Overview

Brianna is a registered psychologist whose path into the profession has been anything but a straight line. It took her 10 years, alongside part-time work, dyslexia, and a number of life's curveballs, to complete her registration pathway. This has allowed her to meet clients with authenticity, humility, and a deep respect for how hard life can be. She brings a grounded, deeply human understanding of resilience, struggle, and growth. Brianna has worked across private and community settings, supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, grief, trauma and PTSD, illness, relationship and family challenges, and the big, dark (often unsettling) transitions that come with being human. Her understanding of behaviour is informed by a biopsychosocial lens, recognising the complex interplay between our biology, lived experiences, culture, and relationships. Brianna’s approach to therapy is thoughtful, down-to-earth, and evidence-based. Sessions are collaborative and conversational, integrating modalities such as CBT, EMDR, ACT, and Gottman Method principles. Brianna is neurodiverse affirming, LGBTQIA+ and faith-inclusive, and believes therapy works best when people can truly be themselves. Alongside her work, Brianna is currently completing a Master of Sexology at Curtin University. This informs her ability to offer a respectful, non-judgemental space to explore sexuality, intimacy, identity, relationships, and the parts of life that are often hardest to put into words. Brianna is available for face-to-face appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and for online sessions on Thursdays at Mindspot. Please be aware Brianna is TELEHEALTH ONLY on THURSDAYS.
