Consultant Child & Adolescent, Forensic and General Adult Psychiatrist BMed, MPM, FRANZCP, Grad Cert FMH, Cert Child Adol Psych, Cert Forensic Psych Brendan is an Australian-trained psychiatrist with subspecialties in child and adolescent, adult, and forensic psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from the University of Newcastle before undergoing comprehensive psychiatry training across Sydney’s leading institutions, including Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Concord Centre for Mental Health, The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, and the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network. He also pursued advanced training at the California Department of State Hospitals. With diverse experience across metropolitan, regional, and remote settings in NSW and the Northern Territory, Brendan is also highly skilled in telehealth delivery. In addition to clinical practice, he regularly conducts medicolegal assessments. Brendan integrates comprehensive assessments with evidence-based treatments to address a wide range of difficulties and disorders. With a deep understanding of both psychological and pharmacological approaches, he tailors individualized treatment plans that align with each person’s lifestyle and values. His focus is on helping clients unlock their potential and overcome the barriers that stand in their way. Brendan splits his time between Australia and living abroad, where he enjoys connecting with diverse cultures and perspectives. With a deep love for nature, ball sports, keeping fit, and travel—preferably all at the same time—he also hosts “The Self You Seek” podcast, which takes a broad look at self-actualization, empowerment, and mental health. He finds balance in the harmony of an active and reflective life.

General Paediatrician MBBChBAO, MRCPCH, FRACP James graduated from University College Dublin School of Medicine, Ireland, in 2007 and obtained membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics of Child Health in London in 2011 during his time working in tertiary and rural paediatric settings in Ireland. He migrated to Australia in 2011 to continue his paediatric training at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney. After completing his fellowship in General Paediatrics as the Chief Resident Medical Officer at John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Newcastle, James relocated to Melbourne with his wife in early 2018. He continues to provide paediatric care in rural settings in NSW and Victoria. James employs an evidence based, collaborative, and family centred approach to his practice. He greatly enjoys engaging with young people and families, helping them to navigate a range of behavioural and neurodevelopmental issues. James consults children and young people up to 16 years of age. Outside of work James spends his time with his young family and as a keen soccer player represents Australia playing for the Australian Medical Football team, “The Docceroos”!
