Betty Papadogonas Counsellor

Betty Papadogonas is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker MAASW, AMHSW and a Relationships Counsellor with over 15 years of Social Work experience assisting her clients to live an enriched life. Betty is also a member of the AASW. Betty tailors each of her counselling sessions to the therapeutic needs of her clients. Betty incorporates different treatment modalities into her practice including Solution-Focussed Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Focussed Psychological Strategies, including, Skills Training and relaxation strategies. Betty provides counselling for teenagers and adults. Counselling sessions are both face-to-face and via Telehealth. Please note: A GP referral letter and a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan is required, as well as, a valid Medicare card, for patients to access the Medicare rebate. Self-referrals are also welcome. Private health rebates are available for private patients with private health insurance covering AMHSW counselling services, depending on whether you have an eligible policy and level of cover. HICAPS is available at the Clinic. Betty provides counselling for the following presentations: Depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss counselling, general counselling, anger management, individual relationship counselling, couples counselling, and other client presentations.
