Ms Aphrodite Papageorgiou

Psychologist

Aphrodite is currently offering an EMDR intensive program. As a clinical psychologist, eligible clients are able to receive a rebate of up to $780 per program. The EMDR Intensive Therapy Program is designed for people who have experienced adverse life events that have impacted their confidence, self-esteem, and relationships. It is also suitable for those who feel stuck in their progress during therapy, have difficulty letting go or moving forward, and feel that something is missing from their therapy. The program is highly individualized and targets specific memories associated with psychological distress, aiming to deliver rapid resolution of painful emotions associated with the memories. The EMDR therapy program is completed within 4 weeks and can help facilitate effective and efficient resolutions to psychological concerns. The processing is prolonged (up to 90 minutes per session), which can help achieve a positive outcome in a shorter period of time. EMDR therapy enhances the body and mind's ability to process stored events and subsequently change the way we view and feel about the past and experience our present-day life. It is essential to note that the EMDR therapy program is designed to work through 1-4 significant targets (non-addiction based, no risk of self-harm or suicide, no complex PTSD or major dissociative symptoms or severe eating disorders). To determine suitability for the program, interested individuals should call Berwick Psychology Client Services Team on 0477 516 777
