Rebecca Pearce is founder, director and principal psychologist at Berwick Psychology and Hypnosis. She has vast experience working with clients across the lifespan presenting with various concerns including unresolved trauma, anxiety, mood disorder, body image and self-confidence challenges, spiritual crises, professional and work-related issues, personality challenges and many more clinical presentations. Before stepping into private practice, Rebecca worked in a hospital psychiatric ward, community agencies for children, families, substance use and dual diagnosis and a private practice for adolescents and adults with moderate-severe eating disorders. Rebecca has trained in a multitude of therapies including CBT-e (eating disorder credentialed), schema, EMDR and attachment-informed EMDR, Clinical hypnotherapy, CBT, ACT, interpersonal, family systems, relationship therapy, attachment and trauma-informed therapy, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, breathwork, mindfulness, yoga, somatic therapies, integrative mental health and more recently coaching. Her personal passion is learning and expanding her knowledge and wisdom for her own benefits and to support her colleagues, supervisees and clients. Currently Rebecca is enjoying using EMDR for trauma, anxiety, performance and body image concerns, is running group hypnotherapy programs to teach others to use hypnosis for healing, supervises experienced and new therapy graduates (including psychologists, social workers, counsellors and other therapists), and supports her in-house team to deliver outstanding psychological services to the community of Berwick and wider Australia via telehealth. Rebecca is also a daughter, sister, friend, wife and mother to humans and fur babies, loves to read, cook, snowboard, walk, yoga, nature and socialising with close friends and family. She dislikes shopping, sitting down for too long and windy, cold, rainy days (the snow is an exception!).

Aphrodite is currently offering an EMDR intensive program. As a clinical psychologist, eligible clients are able to receive a rebate of up to $780 per program. The EMDR Intensive Therapy Program is designed for people who have experienced adverse life events that have impacted their confidence, self-esteem, and relationships. It is also suitable for those who feel stuck in their progress during therapy, have difficulty letting go or moving forward, and feel that something is missing from their therapy. The program is highly individualized and targets specific memories associated with psychological distress, aiming to deliver rapid resolution of painful emotions associated with the memories. The EMDR therapy program is completed within 4 weeks and can help facilitate effective and efficient resolutions to psychological concerns. The processing is prolonged (up to 90 minutes per session), which can help achieve a positive outcome in a shorter period of time. EMDR therapy enhances the body and mind's ability to process stored events and subsequently change the way we view and feel about the past and experience our present-day life. It is essential to note that the EMDR therapy program is designed to work through 1-4 significant targets (non-addiction based, no risk of self-harm or suicide, no complex PTSD or major dissociative symptoms or severe eating disorders). Ms Liza Jayakody

Liza is a Psychologist, who engages with her clients in a relaxed, compassionate and client centred way. She understands that seeking help can be difficult, and she wants to make reaching out as comfortable as possible. She believes that it is important to bring her actual self into the therapy space with you, and prides herself on authenticity. She will take the time to listen to you, hear your story, to really understand what is going on for you. Together, she will help you gain an understanding of the root cause of your difficulty and map out a game plan, whilst identifying any barriers and ways to move past them. She will draw on evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) based interventions, Mindfulness and relaxation strategies to help in the most suitable way. Liza has a strong passion and interest in working with family systems, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, anxiety and depression. Liza is keen to get working with you on your goals.
