Bernadette Crompton is a Clinical Psychologist who works with children and adults. Bernadette holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and has a varied background including work as a tertiary Educator, Counsellor, Professional Coach, and Business Manager. As a psychologist, she has worked in private settings, government organisations, and paediatric community health. With a warm and empathic style, Bernadette takes a holistic approach to ensure she understands needs so that treatment and interventions are tailored to help clients reach their goals. She aims to provide clients with a safe and supportive therapeutic space.
Bernadette combines evidence-based treatment and neuroscience-informed approaches with reflective practice. As well as providing therapy, Bernadette conducts assessments for cognitive intellect, autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder ADHD), behavioural and emotional issues, day-to-day adaptive functioning, developmental delay, and school readiness. When working with children, Bernadette works collaboratively with parents, caregivers and teachers.
Bernadette specialises in working with clients 18 years and older as well as children from 3 years to 11 years old (please note: an initial parent-only consultation is required)
