Steve is a clinical holistic therapist, researcher, educator, and trainer/mentor who specializes in cognitive psychology, behavioural neuroscience and Brain-Based Therapies (BBT) and their application to challenges such as ADHD, Anger, Anxiety, Attachment, Autism, Depression, Emotional Regulation, and Trauma. ​He received a PhD from the University of London, UK. He then undertook post-doctoral research in the Department of Medicine, Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London. He then went on to undertake research at the Department of Neuroscience, Baylor College of Medicine and the Institute of Neurological Science, University of Texas, USA. He subsequently developed an integrative systems-based focus on the underlying bases of psychological processes and behaviours. Over the past 30 years, he has been studying the biological basis of behaviour, and the effect of stress upon the development of psychological trauma. He also looks at evidence-based research in the field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) including the connection between stress, anxiety, inflammation, depression, and trauma-related behaviour. Steve provides information, learning opportunities and implementation strategies and tactics in a practical and user-friendly manner to assist in facilitating behaviour change and personal growth. He uses a range of therapeutic interventions, such as BBT, CBT, DBT, ACT to address issues such as: Self-esteem, Depression, ADHD Anxiety, Attachment Autism Emotional status (including anger, jealousy, shame etc.), Positive wellbeing Relationship challenges Stress and Sleep Management Trauma Men’s and Children’s issues (anger management; development of emotional awareness and expression) His main modus operandi follows a person-centred approach that is designed to educate, empower, engage, and facilitate processes of growth, self-awareness, and self-healing.

Steve is an educator, therapist and trainer/mentor who specializes in Brain-Based Therapies (BBT) and their application to challenges such as Anger, Anxiety, Attachment, Depression, Emotional Regulation, and Trauma. He received a PhD from the University of London, UK. He then undertook post-doctoral research in the Department of Medicine, Royal Postgraduate Medical School in London. He then went on to undertake research into the cellular and molecular processes involved in physical trauma induced neurodegeneration at the Institute of Neurological Science, University of Texas, USA. Whilst in the USA Steve worked with John Lee and the late Dan Jones in the exploration of Men’s issues surrounding attachment, anger, emotional classification and differentiation and the expression of emotions in positive and non-stress creating processes . Coupled with this period in the USA he explored various east-west philosophies, approaches to holistic health and psychotherapy. He subsequently adopted an integrative systems-based focus on the underlying bases of psychological processes and behaviours. During past 30 years he has been studying the biological basis of behaviour, and in particular, the effect of stress upon the development of psychological trauma. He also looks at evidence-based research connecting stress and neuro-inflammation . Most recently his interest has been in the field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) including the connection between Stress-Brain-Gut Axis that is involved in anxiety, depression and trauma-related behaviour.
