My counselling experience includes private practice and community-based services. My area of special interest is couples and relationship counselling. I strive to support loving, respectful, and sustainable relationships in all their diversity. I aim to enrich relationships and encourage compassionate communication and connection across life stages and situations. I am trauma informed and support positive mental health outcomes and resilience, which is the foundation of individual wellbeing and a thriving relationship.
I am a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (Level 2). My counselling qualifications include a Diploma of Counselling (Uniting Institute of Education) and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling (UNE).
I have training in Gottman Method Level 1 and Level 2 for couples and relationship counselling. I have training in Family Systems therapy, Emotion Focused therapy for couples and domestic and family violence. I utilize techniques from Narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Cognitive Behavior therapy to inform self and relational awareness and relieve distress.
I work in collaboration with clients to navigate relational issues. I bring warmth, compassion and lived experience to my work.
