At ARC, we specialise in providing evidence-based interventions to help children, adolescents, adults, and families build strength, resilience, and meaningful connection.
With over 20 years of experience, ARC is led by Clinical Psychologist Megan Jones, who is the owner, director, and principal clinician. Megan brings a broad background across child and adult mental health, including experience in child and family wellbeing, fostering and adoption, adult mental health, and youth justice contexts. She is dedicated to creating a safe, relaxed, and confidential environment where clients are treated with compassion, nurturance, and respect.
Megan works alongside a team of skilled practitioners, including clinical psychologists, registered psychologists, and behaviour support specialists who provide services to both children and adults. Together, the team is committed to delivering comprehensive, collaborative care to support each client’s unique needs and goals.
Comprehensive assessments and tailored interventions are available for a range of presenting concerns, including but not limited to:
• Anxiety Disorders (GAD, OCD, Phobias, Social Anxiety, PTSD, Panic)
• Depression
• Eating Disorders
• Behavioural challenges such as aggression, difficulties with compliance, tantrums, and emotional regulation
• Social skills and making friends
• Developmental trauma
• Parenting support and strategies
• Strengthening parent–child relationships
• Toilet training and soiling
• Teasing and bullying management
• Sibling relationship difficulties
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
• Self-esteem and confidence difficulties
A variety of therapeutic approaches are used to help clients achieve meaningful, long-term change. These include:
Behaviour Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), Attachment-Based Therapies, Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotion Coaching.
Specialist assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and learning difficulties are part of our specialty.
We are also the only private clinical on the coast offering a specialist intervention called PCIT, which is very effecting in supporting parents with younger children.
