Miriam is an Occupational Therapist with full AHPRA registration. I enjoy working with children, with a special interest in supporting neurodivergent children, adults and families (such as Autism, ADHD and sensory processing differences). I have experience helping kids prepare to transition to going to school, support adults and kids to manage their emotions, and build social skills. My approach is playful, creative and I strive to build relationships for a warm approach.

I have a deeply-held belief that people don’t damage their lives on purpose, and that we are usually doing the very best we can. So I approach counselling with the idea that we are doing what we do, for very good reasons. In my style of counselling, we do deeper work - I believe that when you treat the cause, rather than the symptoms, then often the symptoms just take care of themselves. I’ve seen this happen so many times. My approach is warm, compassionate, and very calm and gentle. Also, we often laugh during my sessions. I specialise in complex work, and love it when I see people healing and growing. That’s when I do my counsellor happy dance :) Areas of special interest: Marriage and Relationship Counselling, Trauma, Historic Sexual Abuse, Christian Counselling, Grief and Loss, Frozen Grief, ASD/ADHD. Fees: Individual Counselling $160 ($125 concession). Couple Counselling Daytime $195 ($155 concession). Evening relationship counselling $215, Weekend $250. Fees are GST inclusive.
