At Annabel Psychology my aim is to help every one of my clients enhance their potential to live life healthy, happy and more connected to loved ones and community. I can assist you achieve positive and sustainable outcomes by healing historical trauma that triggers you in current circumstances. Once healing is achieved and dysfunctional patterns are identified I help clients challenge the validity of negative patterns of thought and generate new belief systems that promote better outcomes. I am registered as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and an member of the Australian Psychological Society. I provide evening telehealth appointments. In accordance with Australian Psychological Society guidelines I use evidence-based treatments for a broad range of psychological and emotional difficulties and use an integrated approach to counselling, incorporating a number of psychological therapies to assist clients in overcoming their struggles. I work in a collaborative manner assisting client achieve the goals they have set for therapy being mindful of working at a pace and style you feel comfortable with, also being mindful of your budget constraints. To ensure that intervention is optimally successful clients need to be willing and able to complete homework activities or access E-Mental Health websites assigned after a therapy session to practice techniques and strategies. This will ensure the learning from the therapy session is cemented and help you achieve additional self-discovery. For interventions via telehealth technology we will need to discuss and reach agreement on certain constraints that are different from face to face sessions. This will include how to manage your flight or fight response if a trigger is activated for you during the session; confidentiality issues if you are feeling suicidal; and confidentiality of email transmissions. What you will need: internet access, an email address; a credit or debit card. Client Fees: A consultation fee of $280 per 50 minutes session applies. If you have a mental health care plan you can request a rebate through Medicare ($89.65). Charges include pre and post session activities including administration costs related to preparing sessions, interpreting psychological tests used to monitor progress, communicating with others involved in your treatment program, and any costs incurred if we have to chase up late cancellation or missed appointments. This is often an additional 30 minutes or longer per session. (Please note that the recommended fee for consultations with psychologists is $254 per session of 45-60 minutes). Cancellation Policy 24-hours' notice is required if appointments need to be changed or cancelled. This gives me time to offer that appointment to someone else on my waiting list. It is also a courtesy so I am not losing time waiting for you.
