Amelia is a generally registered psychologist and clinical registrar who has completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra. She has previously completed a Graduate Diploma in counselling and is an accredited Coach. She has extensive experience providing therapeutic to survivors of torture and trauma, those impacted by sudden and unexpected/coronial death, frontline workers (paramedics, search and rescue personnel) and providing support to children, adolescents, and adults for a range of mental health presentations. Amelia's primary approach to therapy is informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness Integrated CBT. Amelia's therapeutic style is warm, validating, and authentic with a strong focus on building a collaborative therapeutic alliance. She leverages existing strengths and introduces effective, evidence-based strategies tailed to the needs of clients.
