Alex Pelaccia

Exercise Physiologist

Alex is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, having completed her Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Deakin University. Alex’s interest in using exercise as medicine and the power of movement education and performing specific exercises as a rehabilitation tool sparked when engaging with strength training and clinical exercise to rehab netball injuries at 17 years old. Through her studies and work as an Exercise Physiologist, Alex has further enhanced her passion to take care and help people of all ages and abilities to actively use exercise to address chronic health conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, and to improve overall health and wellbeing. Alex is passionate about creating individualised exercise plan to improve the quality of life of her clients and has a specific interest in musculoskeletal, neurological and conditions associated with ageing. In her spare time, Alex enjoys engaging with strength training and Pilates, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Ian is the Director of Active EP and is passionate about helping people move better, build confidence, and perform at their best—whether that means returning from injury, managing pain, improving health, or pursuing high-level sport. He has a strong interest in complex and long-standing musculoskeletal conditions, running and movement retraining, youth athletic development, and elite performance conditioning. Ian combines detailed movement assessment with evidence-based exercise prescription to create highly individualised plans that are safe, practical, and built around each person’s goals, lifestyle, current capacity, and readiness for change. He has extensive experience working with chronic musculoskeletal conditions, cardiovascular and metabolic health, body composition, and performance optimisation, helping clients take meaningful action now so they can live better and keep doing what they love.
