Leanne is a newly graduated physiotherapist with a strong background in sport, kinesiology, and coaching, supported by international academic training. She holds degrees in Physiotherapy from The University of Queensland and Kinesiology from the University of Calgary.
Her experience spans clinical rehabilitation and sport settings, where she has worked and volunteered as a kinesiologist in Canadian rehabilitation clinics. She has delivered evidence-based rehabilitation programs, conducted movement and biomechanical assessments, and designed individualized exercise and conditioning plans to support functional recovery, performance, and return to activity.
Originally from Canada, Leanne has extensive experience in badminton as both a high-performance athlete and certified coach, having competed at provincial and national levels. She has coached athletes of all ages and abilities, applying sport science principles with an athlete-centred focus on skill development, injury prevention, and sustainable performance. She has also contributed to badminton development through Badminton Alberta, supporting athlete pathways, program delivery, and coach education.
As she begins her physiotherapy career, Leanne is committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. She is known for her analytical, collaborative approach and is passionate about promoting physical literacy, health, and lifelong participation in sport.
