Ivan "Yin Fung" Chan

Ivan always had a passion for food since young and has led to a career in nutrition. As the saying goes, “Food brings people together”. He believes in the power of food and he has the ambition to influence individuals with healthier food choices and lifestyle. He is passionate about working in the community as it allows a better bonding opportunity with clients. Ivan enjoys working together with the client and strengthening their abilities to achieve their health goals as a team. He also has a passion for community public health activities, as he believes “prevention is better than cure”. He is experienced in delivering health promotion talks in kindergartens and business companies. Ivan has a passion for paediatric nutrition, and providing nutritional advice pertaining to diabetes, gastrointestinal conditions, weight management and other chronic conditions e.g. kidney disease, CVD and liver disease. Ivan is experienced and skilled in working with people with disabilities, including and not limited to ⁃ Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) ⁃ Ataxia ⁃ Autism Spectrum Disorder (Paediatrics & Adults) ⁃ Genetic Disorder incl. Overgrowth Syndrome ⁃ Intellectual Disability ⁃ Mental Illness incl. Depression, PTSD, Schizophrenia and Anxiety ⁃ Metabolic Disorders ⁃ Multiple Sclerosis ⁃ Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD). Ivan has a particular interest in cooking, he enjoys cooking cuisines from different countries. He is also enthusiastic in designing recipes for dishes that are healthy and delicious. Besides, he enjoys brewing coffee, playing basketball, and cruising around the region with his motorcycle. Ivan has an interest in helping people living with disabilities, and providing practical nutrition education to meet their needs e.g. cooking session or healthy groceries tour. Ivan is providing NDIS nutrition services throughout Melbourne - with home visits, video calls and phone calls available.

Michaela Gold

Dietitian

Michaela is an empathetic paediatric dietitian, who believes in celebrating the differences found in each individual. She believes in a multidisciplinary approach, with the end goal of achieving adequate growth and improving the nutritional quality of the diet. Her paediatric work experience includes inpatient wards, as well as general and healthy weight management outpatient paediatric clinics. She has worked with all ages, from neonates to adults. Her main interest area is working with children and adults who have suspected or been diagnosed with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID). Practicing within her scope, her approach is influenced by the foundational dietetic principles of CBT for ARFID, and the SOS approach to feeding. She has also undertaken further professional development in disability-specific dietetic practice. Michaela has a range of experience with the following : - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - Cerebral Palsy - Down Syndrome In addition to private consulting, Michaela enjoys hiking, cooking, being in nature, and immersing herself in different cultural experiences. Rebecca Ostrognay

Dietitian

Rebecca loves working with children, young people and their families to make small, achievable change in a practical and supportive manner. She works with her clients to provide a strong foundation of knowledge and skill regarding healthy eating habits. She takes a holistic perspective with the overall health and well-being of her client’s paramount. Rebecca’s areas of interest in dietetics include early development and paediatric nutrition, eating disorders, ‘Health At Every Size’ (HAES), gastrointestinal issues and chronic disease management. Rebecca has had experience working with a range of people with disabilities including: - Mental Illnesses such as Bipolar, Depression and Schizophrenia - Intellectual Disabilities - Developmental Disabilities - Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) In her spare time Rebecca enjoys playing netball, walking her sausage dog and going on long hikes with friends. She also is passionate about cooking, having prepared affordable meals for many couples and families.
