Overview

Temily is a Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) who has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds across a range of clinical contexts. Temily has supported adolescents and adults around issues relating to depression, anxiety, substance use, obsessive-compulsive disorder, symptoms of trauma and post-traumatic stress, perfectionism, interpersonal difficulties, problematic anger/aggression, and difficulties with self-assertion. Temily has been trained in the formal assessment and reporting of cognitive functioning, criminal risk, and criminal injury. Temily’s approach to therapy is based on the philosophy that sooner or later, most people struggle to meet the demands of life and could use a safe and supportive space within which to explore and work through difficulties. Her therapeutic treatment strategies are evidence-based, person-tailored, and draw from a variety of psychological paradigms. In addition to helping clients manage and reduce distress, Temily focuses on (and works to foster) client strengths. She is dedicated to helping individuals gain greater self-efficacy, additional problem-solving skills, and an improved quality of life. Temily has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia, a Master of Professional Psychology from Monash University, and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from Curtin University of Technology. She was the recipient of a Dean's Award for academic achievement and the co-author of a research paper on theories of suicidality published in the Journal of Experimental Psychopathology.
