Sarah is a clinical psychologist who assesses and treats infants, children, teens and adults. Sarah uses a variety of evidence-based treatments to help people better manage problems, and to enjoy life more. She provides individual, parent and group therapy, and works with schools to support young people. Sarah has experience with a broad range of childhood difficulties, including anxiety, depression, behaviour problems, school refusal, grief, trauma, attention problems, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She also works with young people who have trouble managing anger/conflict, are adjusting to major changes such as separation and divorce, or are struggling in their relationships. She aims to strengthen families so that they can better support each other, and themselves. Sarah conducts assessments for cognitive functioning and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She also works with children with intellectual and other disabilities, including Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. She is an accredited provider under the FAHCSIA Autism and Better Start Programs. Her work with adults focuses on developing skills to better cope with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief and trauma, relationship problems, managing anger/conflict and adjusting to major life events. Sarah has worked with children and adults in public and private mental health settings, including the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Melbourne Clinic, Monash University’s Centre for Developmental Psychiatry and Psychology and Foundation House, a trauma service for children and families from refugee backgrounds. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Monash University, and has presented at professional development forums for mental health and education workers.
