Overview

Wenting Ruan is a warm and dedicated bilingual (Mandarin and English speaking) Generally registered Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar) working in our Gold Coast offices, and also seeing clients Australia-wide via Telehealth. She is able able to help those who wish to access services through Medicare, NDIS, Insurance, WorkCover (any insurer Return to Work or Adjustment to Injury claim), Private Health Insurance or Victim Assist; as well as privately referred clients. Wenting enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and the elderly and people from various cultural backgrounds. She has a particular interest in working with Clients who experience Anxiety, Depression, Behaviour Problems, or Trauma, health issues and suicidality as well as those Clients who need support surrounding cultural adjustment. Wenting received her previous education in China, Australia, Spain, Cuba and Austria. She has clinical experiences in the psychology clinic, oncology centre, palliative care, and neurodegenerative disease field. She utilises a variety of counselling styles and interventions such as Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Behaviour therapy.  Wenting is committed to empowering clients and maximising each individual’s potential to overcome challenges and achieve their desired life goals while supporting her clients to build practical strategies to address their concerns. She believes each person is different and therefore, she takes a client-centered approach to meet each person’s therapeutic needs. She deeply cares about clients and follows a holistic treatment approach, aiming to improve each person’s wellbeing, their relationships with themselves and others.
