Naomi is a psychologist (with provisional registration). She is experienced in assessment and treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and peri-natal mental health issues. Naomi works with clients across the lifespan. She is interested in working with clients with a range of mental health concerns, life transitions and personal goals. Typically, her approach involves cognitive-behavioural therapies, including acceptance and commitment therapy. Naomi creates a safe and nurturing space where clients can explore and heal. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Naomi had a career focussed on applied cognitive psychology. She has worked in consultancy and management in a range of settings, including universities, private and public sector organisations, both in Australia and the United Kingdom. With a breadth of experience, she understands the challenges and rewards experienced by many who are juggling the demands of work, self and family. Naomi also has an extensive background in research. She has run Australian and international research projects, mostly in the field of user experience. Her most recent project investigated how post-traumatic growth is connected to our mental health following adverse childhood experiences.
