I have worked in a variety of psychological and mental health settings, since completing my bachelor’s degree in 2011, including adult and youth residential facilities (prevention and recovery care), Psychological Therapy Services (formerly ATAPS), headspace, and in Adult Community Mental Health. In my practice with clients, I draw from a variety of evidenced based modalities, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT); all include mindfulness-based interventions.
I work predominantly with adults, but also enjoy working with young people from age 12, and provide a relaxed space to allow for the development of a collaborative therapeutic relationship. An assessment and shared understanding of client difficulties is developed, to motivate meaningful change, and the achievement of goal-oriented outcomes.
