Overview

Lauren is a proud Yorta Yorta woman, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Medicare provider, ANZAED Eating Disorder Credentialed Clinician and CBT-E trained clinician practising privately in Perth, Western Australia. Lauren welcomes clients from all backgrounds and provides formulation-led therapy for children, adolescents and adults, with sessions available face-to-face and via telehealth across WA. Her practice is culturally safe, queer-affirming, trans-affirming, neurodivergence-affirming, size-inclusive and trauma-informed. Lauren works with eating and body concerns, trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, autism, sensory differences, identity stress, LGBTQIA+ wellbeing, First Nations social and emotional wellbeing, psychosocial disability, school and family stress, grief, burnout, life transitions and complex service-system experiences. Her particular interest is in the intersections between eating disorders, trauma, neurodivergence, identity, culture, body image, family systems and emotional wellbeing. Lauren supports clients to understand the patterns contributing to distress, build regulation and insight, and develop practical strategies for change. Lauren’s approach draws on CBT, CBT-E, trauma-informed practice, somatic awareness, schema-informed work, narrative approaches, emotional regulation strategies, relational practice, play-based and creative therapeutic approaches, psychoeducation and strengths-based support. When working with children and young people, Lauren uses developmentally responsive, relational and play-based approaches, with family, carer, kin or chosen-support involvement where appropriate. With consent, she also collaborates with GPs, dietitians, psychiatrists, paediatricians, Aboriginal Medical Services, NDIS support coordinators, schools, allied health clinicians and family/support networks. Lauren accepts Medicare Eating Disorder Plans, Better Access Mental Health Care Plans, private referrals and eligible NDIS self-managed or plan-managed arrangements.
