Lauren (she/her) is a Psychologist who has completed her Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at QUT. Lauren has an extensive background working with children and adolescents in the Arts, and more recently, the community sector - providing Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) services to First Nations people in regional and rural Queensland. Lauren enjoys working with people from all backgrounds across the lifespan, and is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth in her therapeutic approach. Her interventions are attachment informed and strengths-based, integrating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Circle of Security (COS). Lauren has worked with individuals facing a range of worries and difficulties, including anxiety and depression, interpersonal distress, identity and adjustment issues, trauma, and self-harm. Additionally, she has experience in psychoeducational assessments for Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) and ADHD. She is passionate about working with individuals and their systems to improve quality of life and every-day functioning, and deeply values collaborative, feedback-driven processes in the therapeutic relationship.
