Renee Rodgers has a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) and is a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy Candidate. She worked as a classroom teacher for 8 years, and it was during this time, Renee developed her passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
She joined the Umina Beach team in 2019 with a passion for providing supports to children on the spectrum in mainstream classrooms. Renee goes out to schools and works with teachers and children to develop strategies and skills towards inclusion.
Some of the supports Renee provides include family support, social therapy and life skills development groups, one-to-one therapeutic supports for emotional regulation and school-based anxieties. Renee delivers services as an Inclusive Education Specialist and also as a highly skilled Therapy Assistant (Level 2).
Renee is working towards completing her Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy so she can become a Child Psychotherapist.
