Danielle completed her studies at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition and Metabolism & Neuroscience) and a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics. As a lover of learning, Danielle has also completed additional training in the following areas:
The Low FODMAP Diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Advanced Non-Diet Approach for Dietitians workshop
Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding
Food Scientist Model: SOS Approach to Feeding Adaptation for the School Aged Child
Feeding Children with Autism Using the Satter Model
Inspired by the Non-Diet Approach, Danielle helps her clients explore the role of food as a self-care tool in the many roles it takes, the energiser, the nurturer, the connector, the satisfier. Thanks to diet culture, too many individuals feel compelled to shrink themselves in order to pursue health. Danielle offers an alternative view, helping individuals experience more trust and less stress about their food decisions, in the body they are in right now. Danielle brings this perspective to her key areas of interest, including:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Gut Health*
Healthy food and body relationships in children
Positive mealtimes for Autistic individuals
Exploring sensory sensitivities/food aversion in children and adults
Nutrition rehabilitation for individuals living with disabilities (malnutrition, loss of strength, decline in food intake)
*Please note Danielle does not offer services for suspected food chemical intolerances or implementation of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital elimination diet.
