Dr Jake Kraska

Psychologist

Jake is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist with experience in a range of private and public settings. Jake predominately works with children, adolescents and young adults, completing psychological assessments and counselling. Jake primarily applies evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness strategies in his counselling and is familiar with a wide range of educational, cognitive, and social-emotional-behavioural assessment tools for testing and diagnosis. Jake has completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at Monash University and is currently a Doctor of Philosophy of candidate, investigating the use of computer adaptive testing and machine learning to measure intelligence. Jake is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and is a Fellow of the APS College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists. Jake has interests in the intersection of psychological research and practice with modern technologies, and is a member of the APS Military and Emergency Services and Psychology Interest Group and the APS ePsychology Interest Group.

Miss Grace Mackie

Psychologist

Grace is a registered psychologist and Member of the Australian Psychological Society who has experience working across both school and clinical settings. Grace enjoys collaboratively working with young people and their families, helping to highlight areas of strength and weakness in an effort to work toward reaching therapeutic goals and self-growth. Grace is experienced in providing psychoeducational assessments where she is able to offer an understanding of the cognitive, academic, social, emotional and behavioural functioning of her clients. Grace is also familiar with using a range of therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness. She is particularly interested in psychoeducational assessment, working with LGBTQ+ young people and families, and anxiety-related concerns. Grace is currently completing a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) combined with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program at Monash University. Grace’s PhD focuses on exploring the mental health and school counselling experiences of transgender young people and psychologists within Australian secondary schools. Grace is currently completing the Educational and Developmental registrar program.

Miss Melissa Lay

Psychologist

Melissa is a registered psychologist who has worked across school and clinic settings. She is passionate about supporting the needs of children, adolescents, and adults through psychological assessment and intervention. Melissa provides individualized psycho-educational assessments which offer a holistic understanding of an individual’s cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural functioning. She adopts a respectful, empathetic, and warm approach when working with clients, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), relaxation and mindfulness techniques into her therapeutic practice. Melissa holds specific interests in anxiety, dependency, and learning disorders. Melissa completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at Monash University and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Melissa prefers to work collaboratively with clients and is invested in guiding clients towards their therapeutic goals, promoting their personal strengths, and self-development.

Mr Henrique Salles

Psychologist

Henrique is a registered psychologist who is passionate about helping people experiencing emotional, social, or learning difficulties. Henrique provides a welcoming space for clients to discuss what is happening in their lives, and enjoys working with clients as a team to help them better understand themselves, learn new skills, build confidence, and live meaningful lives. Henrique has worked with clients from childhood to adulthood with a range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, addiction, self-esteem, and learning difficulties. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Henrique volunteered for several years with Headspace, attending schools and community events to promote the importance of mental health and self-care. Henrique completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at Monash University. In his research, Henrique explored how experiences in nature can support psychological wellbeing — an association of particular interest and passion for him. Henrique is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Mr Steve Lanham

Psychologist

Steve is a registered psychologist with experience in both school and clinic settings. He is passionate about working collaboratively with young people, parents, and schools to identify and support learning difficulties, mental health, and wellbeing. He has specific interests in learning disorders (reading, writing, mathematics), neurodevelopmental disorders (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder), social skills and emotional regulation. Steve provides comprehensive cognitive, educational, and social-emotional-behavioural assessments to determine a young person’s strengths and weaknesses and guide intervention planning and strategies that are accessible for parents, schools, and the young person. Steve also provides counselling services that utilise evidence-based practices (such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing) to achieve therapeutic goals, promote personal strengths, and support wellbeing and positive development across the lifespan. Steve completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at Monash University and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
