Leanne Barry Psychologist

Leanne has 10+ years experience working therapeutically with people across the lifespan and with various complex needs. Leanne completed her Bachelor of Psychology and Honours Degree at Deakin University in Geelong in 2012. While completing her studies, Leanne volunteered as a telephone crisis supporter for 4 years and simultaneously worked with a family violence crisis service supporting women and children experiencing and escaping family violence. In 2014, Leanne moved to the Central Coast where she began working with adults with mental illness, providing recovery based supports to assist people in achieving their goals and improve their wellbeing. Leanne has spent the last couple of years working with children in foster care, their carers and birth families, taking a special interest in addressing the impact of abuse, neglect and trauma on children and their behaviour. Leanne is a Provisional Psychologist who is undertaking her internship at The READ Clinic while she completes her Master of Professional Psychology at Macquarie University.
