Julia is a Registered Psychologist who commenced working at the READ Clinic in 2019.
Julia completed her Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Newcastle in 2012. She then went on to complete a Masters Degree in Teaching and School Counselling at Sydney University in 2014. Julia has been employed as a School Counsellor within NSW Public Schools since 2014.
Julia prides herself on being a warm, compassionate and authentic child and adolescent Psychologist. Julia predominantly works within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework and uses evidence-based interventions to assist her clients and their families. She believes that establishing and maintaining positive relationships with both the client and their family is paramount. Julia enjoys using a creative approach when working with children and adolescents, implementing strategies from both art and narrative therapy. Julia is also experienced in conducting a variety of psychometric assessments measuring cognitive ability, academic skills, attention and behavioural difficulties as well as adaptive functioning skills.
